It's a lot more natural to fight when rock than it is to play rugby while rocked. You have to think that the savage part of you can take over in the fight and it's going to help you survive, it's not going to help you score.

You really do just go to a kind of auto-pilot mode. You will do things and not even know it, eg. Clinching, taking him down, and protecting while trying to recover.

Yeah I dont doubt it. I think I found each break more painful than the previous.

The worst for me was a straight on headbut right on the bridge of my nose. I was trying to knee the guy in the body and he lept forward and smashed my nose in. That was the worst by far. I had my second surgery after that one and that was my last broken nose and my last really serious street fight. (I only fought in tourneys after that or broke up fights friends had gotten into)

I won that fight but there are parts of the fight I can't remember. We beat the living piss out of each other.
