Someone needs to tell Rosholt his face isn't a punching bag. Other than that pretty solid fighter so far, almost been caught with some subs a few times but kept his cool and escaped. Really close kimura while I'm typing this. Pretty good prospect BBJD, but I think it will be a while before he is a top MW.

EDIT (Post TKO): Rosholt got lucky at the end there. After taking a first look, his wrestling speaks for itself. Just awesome. Striking didn't look effective at all, and he really ate waaaay too many punches. Great submission defense. Cardio needs a big, big boost.

Hahaha, Rosholt is a joke with the label as the best prospect in mma. Being a great prospect in any sport means your all around game is good, that is about as one dimensional as you can get and there is no, he hasn't been doing this long. That was absolutely zero striking ability shown. Not hard to learn the basics in striking and implement those.

If it wasn't for that slip he was going to be put away. He was already turning away from the strikes and walking away.

I agree, I also wasn't that impressed either and once he fights somebody that has good takedown defense he is going to get tore up on the feet.

I honestly haven't seen the fight yet I was out at dinner I'm going to watch it on DVR after the event ends.

From what I heard his stand up was horrible. So I'll watch it and give my thoughts after that.

bbjd, I'm gonna be honest and I'm hard on judging peoples striking in mma but horrible doesn't even begin to describe Rosholt's striking.

To be honest that's suprising because he works his stand up with some good people I still haven't seen it maybe the big moment messed with him.

Though I heard his grapping was fantastic against Osterneck who's a grappler.

Judging from that fight, I don't understand how people could have come to the conclusion that this guy was a serious MMA prospect.

I mean, HOW can anyone come to that conclusion? He's only 5-0, do you know how many people are 5-0 and better fighters than this guy?

I'm baffled, I'd like to meet the person labeling these guys as serious prospects.

Just watched the fight and I'm shocked at how bad Rosholt's stand up looked. He was just eating shots. Now with that said for some of you to dismiss him is stupid.

His wrestling is as good as anyone and his grappling is very good. His GnP is accurate and strong when he's not trashed like he was in round 2.

So do I still think he's got crazy potential yes. Do I think he is there yet obviously not because his stand up ATM is garbage.

Still someone to watch for but isnt as far along as Velasquez or one of the other top prospects out there.

Hopefully Hendricks looks better in Decemeber.
