Do you really think Neer will knock Diaz out? This kid can take some punishment and still remain composed like you guys pointed out. If he were to be finished like that I believe it would be by technical knock out where Neer tries to do what Pellegrino did which is restrain Diaz from side mount and drop down some punches. I don't believe it would be a knock out but it'd be a stoppage due to Diaz being unable to defend himself. Although, Diaz is a great scrambler so it would be a hard task to pound him out on the ground where he is most comfortable.

Standing.. I just hope Diaz has been working on his boxing. He is a decent boxer with long reach and incredible heart. A knock out I believe is unlikely but then again, no one thought Rashad could knock Chuck unconscious, either.

I think it'll either be Diaz by submission or Neer by decision. I'm leaning more toward Diaz.

Nice predictions, though. Keep them coming.

Great post man. I like your reasoning.

I totally agree that picking Josh Neer by knockout is a stretch for sure. Here's my reasoning:

Nate Diaz is a BJJ guy all the way, it's his bread and butter. 7 of his 9 wins are via submission. He has decent boxing but his standup needs improvement. Will he surprise us with some improved striking...maybe.

Neer has only been submitted 3 times in 31 fights. The guy can scramble. Because of this Diaz may actually try and stand with him. Neer may give Diaz the first big surprise of his career in the form of punch right on the button. Or like you mentioned it maybe a TKO when the ref calls it off.

Good stuff guys....love the banter. Keep it coming.

I won't count out Diaz again after his sick triangle against Kurt.

Yeah, I thought Kurt would just strut through Nate. I was right, until the second round. I'm not doubting him until someone beats him.

Good vid gents!

Nice breakdown...this is either going to a decision or something VERY unexpected is going to happen.
