fickle fans

why is it that people change their opinion of fighters based on one performance. one bad preformance can take a champ and turn him into a bum and take a no name and make him "unstoppable" such is the case with franklin and a. silva. i know silva is no no name but you get my point!! sometimes people just get beat it keeps them hungry it keeps them training hard. you find a guy who never loses and you will find a guy who is fighting bums

One of things that I like about MMA is that the even though the fighters might take a beating or two in their careers, most strive to train harder and become more rounded competitors.

This is a much better approach than say boxing where professional fighters can be considered 'washed up' if their undefeated record becomes sullied with a loss.

True fans appreciate every aspect of a fighters career to include the loses. Losses as well as wins make a champion.

The comeback after a hard loss shows GROWTH. That, IMO, is one of the enjoyable aspects of following fighters. Yes....even the ones who I'm not particular about. I still appreciate....IF NOTHING ELSE, their courage to get in there and prove TO THEMSELVES that they can hang....and if not...hang em up knowing they've given their best at the end of the day. Off my soap box now....anyone dare to disagree?
