Chuck needs to chill for a while...his best bet.

...Without a doubt Rashad Evans gave Chuck Liddell the most Brutal loss in his career. As I watched from my seat in the arena, 14k plus were on their feet and were totallly shocked. I never saw Chuck so discouraged as I did in his post-fight interview. But he still has a quest for the LHW Title. Chuck needs to do what Randy did...take a year off and re-invent himself. If you use the same game plan over & over with success, people figure you out knowing what to look for and expect.
...Chuck should let the LHW Title play hot potato for a while, because the Division is so deep.
...I said right after he lost the title to Rampage, I said the only way Chuck can get the belt back is to use all of his tools in his toolkit, not just 2 hammers. If Chuck wants to "swim with the sharks" as Rich Franklin put it,
I think he has no choice but to re-invent himself. If Randy did it...I'm sure Chuck can as well...
...As far as Franklin vs. Liddell...I don't see it happening. Franklin's nemesis has joined the LHW Division, The Spider. Rich trapped himself by going 205 because the Division is stacked with some very dangerous fighters.
...Not only is Anderson Silva in the mix, but Franklin may have to face another awesome fighter who knocked him out...Lyoto Machida. Rich Franklin is one of my fav fighters, but I think his stay in the LHW Division will be short. The Division too deep with a who's who list attached to it.

I would pick Rich based on Chuck's last couple fights. Rich would come in with the same plan as against Hamill and take Chuck's legs out like Jardine did and and win a UD.

Franklin beat Liddell?.......nah

...Let's just say the whole LHW Division can beat Chuck now...gee. Chuck is in the same spot Randy was in after UFC 57. Randy did the smart thing, took time off and re-invented himself. Randy came out of a 1 year retirement, took the HW belt from Sylvia in stunning fashion. Chuck needs to take some time off and re-invent himself and I think he can do it to. The older you get, the smarter you have to fight. Randy Couture is the best example for that.

Give me Chuck.

Rich is too aggressive and would get caught.

Yea but he's a very smart guy too. Why would he be dumb enough to play right into Chuck's game? Jardine didn't...Rashad didn't...And I'm pretty sure Rich saw both those fights.

It's definitely a fight that makes sense and would mold for a strong co-main event on any card. Rich would need to keep an ample amount of distance in order to negate most of Chuck's power, while Liddell would need to make pressing forward a paramount gameplan in order to cut off Rich and unload with heavy leather. A win would elevate both of them dramatically, a loss would be a detriment to either one's reputation, but given their marketability power it's not a big gamble in the least.

Suizida tried to tell me that Jardine's Techno viking monkey style was too much for Vera's overhyped skills but i was to busy nuthugging to listen to 'the truth'

His style's the same, he's just not fighting wrestlers and BJJ guys now.

His sloppy style of striking is getting picked apart by people who know how to throw punches and how to keep their hands up.
