Karo probably.

Anyways, when this fight was supposed to take place I didn't get excited about it (other than the fact the WW division wouldn't be held up any longer). Since neither of these guys are holding up the division any more I could care less if and when they fight.

And if the fight does happen, I see Hughes taking Serra down, pounding on him for a while, and Serra opening up to get subbed so he doesn't get GSP'd again.

PS: Can we add that as a type of victory? (T)KO, Sub, Decision, GSP.

Hype it back up and put it on fight night or if the UFC get a network deal, make it the 2nd to last match.

Its lost its appeal for now, but wait until there is a date set for the fight.

Once its set, the trash talk will begin, and I will be interested all over again.

I cant imagine Serra not running his mouth to the point where I will HAVE to watch it. Hugues will be a dick again and we will all hope that one of them gets smashed in the face really badly.

Im sure its gonna sell. The UFC knows how to do it.

But does anyone really care about this fight anymore really?
GSP was KO'd simple as that, it was an aimed strike with intent so get over the luck factor, granted Serra on paper should not have won that fight but think on this -
Hughes beats GSP then gets owned on the rematch yet still gets a third fight, Serra owns GSP first fight gets destroyed in the rematch but no 3rd fight will ever happen.
Anyway i digress, i dont really want to see this fight now as both fighters have been inactive and where could this fight be shown? it certainly doesnt deserve to be a headliner let alone a "co Top event"
Hughes, Serra and the UFC have missed the boat on this fight as far as im concerned.

Well, Hughes lately has made me... sad. He looks slower than he used to, and not as active and bad ass as he used to. He doesn't seem he's in the fight sometimes. Remember the guy who could just lift up people and slam them? Who'd piss off everybody on this forum with his cocky and arrogant comments? Where did that farmer boy go? Did GSP take him away from us with his "great ass"?

Hughes is lackluster nowdays, Serra (exept for when he shocked the world) is not the most exiting fighter himself, TBH.

It's a grey, dull matchup in my eyes, and probably in many fan's eyes.

I'd much rather see BJ/Hughes close out their trilogy as opposed to a reality T.V. series feud that, quite frankly, isn't relevant at all.

The fight is far more tainted now than it was a year ago because of Hughes' recent string of losses and GSP's destruction of Serra, but it just doesn't seem justifiable these days.

Suizida tried to tell me that Jardine's Techno viking monkey style was too much for Vera's overhyped skills but i was to busy nuthugging to listen to 'the truth'

I've heard January from a few different sources. I wouldn't expect it to be a main event. Gotta wait for all the major fights to finish first Couture/Lesnar & GSP/Penn.

To be honest, I really want to see this fight still. It's so obvious that these guys hate each other. Should be very entertaining.

Either one of them could win. Serra would have the standup advantage and I give the ground advantage to Hughes based solely on his experience and wins over tough opponents. He would also has a height advantage. Hughes does well against short stocky wrestler types. IMO, he's failing now because he can't hang with taller, more well-rounded fighters (GSP, Alves etc.)
