Agreed, the article title is completely false.

The fight was decent but not what it could have been. I felt like Huerta gave up mid fight and really just wanted to show how many punches he could take from Florian. It could have just been imagination but I swear I saw tears welling up in his eyes. He needs to drop the silly attitude to advance as a fighter.

To me it just looked like Huerta got frustrated and his gameplan was not working. He was getting out faught so he probably tried to switch it up but what he switched to didn't work either.
Didn't he say something like he was destined to become an undefeated champion or something like that? He may have had some trouble mentally when faced with being on the losing side.

Indeed, he should just accept it and train harder if he wants to beat Florian or a higher level figher. Huerta is overrated, he's been overhyped by the UFC, but he had always favourable match ups. In his first fight vs a ranked opponent he didn't do much.

Than redeem yourself Roger, fight your way back up and don't make the same mistakes again when you get another big fight. And don't leave it to the judges.

Exactly!

I'm amazed at how people interpret post-fight comments on here. The response is always "Shut up -----; you suck; stop trying to make excuses for why you got your ass beat!" Maybe you all should try and actually read them next time.

What a P*ssy

This is the first MMA fighter to appear on the cover of Sports Illustrated?

What an idiot.

If you lose, lose like a man. It has nothing to do with the training camp and everything to do with the fact that he didn't train himself well. This sport is not about what your team does, it's about what you do.

I love this sport because when I win, I get to take credit for the hard work that led me to victory, and when I lose I know that it's my fault, there's no evaluation about that.

Take a loss like a man, go back to the gym and work harder.

That's one of my pet peeves as well. Talking about the reasons you lost is not the same as making excuses, yet so many people fly off the handle saying stuff like you just mentioned. I mean TONS of people do it here.

I was giggling when Roger tried to stand like GSP and be explosive and throwing those superman punches when they all missed.

Then at the later rounds went back to his brawling stand-up style and swinging wildly.
