I will have to go re-watch the fight but I don't remember Kenny trying to fight a points match and trying to throw a bunch of superman punches and missing on all of them or most of them isn't going to win you the fight Roger.

Man, i really hate it when people losing decisons are going "he fought to win the decision, and I fought to finish" or even "he was running the whole time"! arguments.

IMO it is a little disrespectul to th winners (especially to "I finish fights" Florian), since it could be interpeted as that the winners are not real fighters. Plus Florian almost RNC'd him.

Thread title fail. There's no indication that Huerta blames them for the loss.

He gives Florian credit for the win and then in a separate excerpt, comments on how he feels about his training camp.

Agreed. Poor attempt to stir up controversy. He simply said that he wants to go back to the way things used to be for him.

Michael Pepper and mmabay.co.uk tend to oversensationalised things. I should know since I get regular emails from him on facebook.

Back to topic, Roger lost because he lost his composure and focus during the fight.

To be honest, I thought Kenny fought to win and not to finish. Now, I'm not saying that he did not try to finish Roger but he pretty much waited for Roger to make a mistake instead of trying to create his own opportunies.

However, I also thought that this was the best gameplan for Kenny and I have no problems with it. It was a critical fight that Kenny needed to win and it was in his best interest to follow through with that gameplan.

And Roger should stop pulling off GSP's superman punch because it clearly does not work for him.

I agree. You could even see him transform from the new Roger Huerta (a more technical stance), back to the old Roger Huerta (wild, dropping hands, etc).

I still think he's awesome and a future champ.

I also think that his 3rd round with Florian is extremely under-appreciated.

If owning your opponent gives you points, then Kenny won by points.
