Thiago is the man I said that before his UFC debut. Thiago's stand up isn't very techinical at the moment since he only started training stand up a couple years ago but training at ATT will help that and Thiago will be a top LHW soon.
Thiago has a great ground game, a lot of power and a fast pace. The stand up technique will come in time IMO.

Ironman didn't you hear Thiago had to pull out of it with a back injury the fight got canceled.

That vid was awesome. Midway through, I have no idea how the guy in red shorts doesn't die on his feet. Aggressive, relentless, and just plain brutal...if you don't like Thiago Silva, chances are you were part of that highlight vid. If fighters were paid on the excitement seen in their fights, Thiago might be the Liddell of MMA.
BTW...Thiago throatslash = best celebration in UFC

Thiago has looked pretty awesome in all of his fights.
I hope I don't get flamed for this, but I'm still not 100% sold on his skills.
Has he ever been tested by someone with some experience under thier belt?
It's really too bad the Machida-Silva bout was cancelled/postponed (which ever it turns out to be).
I'm really curious to see how well he does against a tested fighter. I fight with Wand could be epic.

He reminds me alot of Shogun. Shogun is quicker and a little better than Thiago at this point but I think Silva might have the edge in punching power.

Thiago and Shogun are very similar. Thiago doesn't have Shogun's chin. But besides that they are very similar.
