What was up with Conditioning/Nerves Tonight

Wow, that was the least entertaining UFC event I have ever seen. That being said, its also coming off of the best PPV I have ever seen....actually it was just another really enjoyable UFC event but tonight....

Did anyone else get the feeling that a few fighters....Ed Herman, Houston Alexander, Mac Danzig, Clay Guida could have done a few more jumping jacks before the fights tonight? I dunno, seemed like fighters were a little lethargic or something. I hate to go here, NO CONSPIRACY THEORY, but a couple of times I felt like I was watching a WWE match. It was just the time people spent flat on their backs or standing in front of their opponent when you couldn't tell if they were going to throw a punch or strike up a conversation about their kids watching at home.

Very flat event, rushed, no non-televised fights shown....oh well, the next PPV is free!

Thoughts on my comments or on the event in general?

I actually really enjoyed the show. You had Ravishing Red choke a fool out, Herman vs Belcher, Guida pushing a nasty pace and a solid main event.

Don't know why you included Guida, since he pushed a furious pace for 3 rounds. Mac Danzig was outworked, so it wasn't like he was just gassed. Guida was relentless.

Herman looked pretty much the same as he always does.

Houston Alexander is a 1 round fighter, anyway.

If you want lethargic performances, watch the UFN from Colorado, the one where Lauzon vs Florian was the main event.

The Belcher and Herman fight is about the only one that was the case in.

Does Herman look like he is drunk to anyone else when he gets tired?

Shit man, I thought Herman vs Belcher was the best fight on the show.

I didn't say that it wasn't a good fight, only that Herman looked a little out of gas before that final bell. I think that was what Halebop was saying. I loved the fight. I think Herman kind of got screwed ober on the decision, but it is what it is.

I completely disagree. Clay Guida do more cardio? I think maybe you weren't watching; had your face buried in nachos during that fight

Also I thought the chess match between Neer and Diaz was pretty exciting.

"no non-televised fights shown" I think you mean prelims, because non-televised fights by definition wont be shown on television.

I will re-watch the fights but yeah after UFC 88 I thought each of the fighters looked lethargic. Maybe I missed something impressive besides Nate Diaz's jitz. Houston again looked alien to the octagon mat, Herman indeed looked drunk, Clay looked good I take back the lethargy accusation on him although I thought he looked much more tentative on his feet (possibly out of respect for his opponent). I thought a more game (less gassed) Danzig could have followed the same path to victory as Huerta did against Guida.

Damone, you really want to go to bat for Herman/Belchar??? It was better then Diaz/Neer????

Like I said, they had a tough card to follow.

And yes morninglightmt, I did have my face buried in nachos. I make them every time I sit down to watch a pretty exciting chess match.
