I really, really hope Nate Quarry wins. He seems like such a sick guy.

If Maia comes in with good cardio I think he has it. But I remember him seeming gassed against MacDonald. I will have to rewatch it. If he can go the full 15 strong I see him getting a sub probably 2nd round.

Maia is fun to watch, but I would like him a lot more if his striking wasn't so lame. If Wandy can infuse him with just a little bit of axe murdering, he'll probably be my favorite fighter in the division and give me a reason to finally update my list.

I'll be rooting for him in this fight either way though.

His striking was already looking a lot better in the J-Mac fight, I imagine it's going to keep improving at a pretty high rate.

You guys are crazy. How could Maia possibly get a takedown on this:

I loved at the end of the fight, where Nate makes fun of him for it. The whole "running man" thing. Kalib gives him the finger, lawl.

Should be an easy win for Maia. We've never really seen Quarry fight anyone with a ground game like Maia's. Come tot think of it, Ive never seen Nate fight a grappler, period. Maybe im forgetting a fight but since being in the UFC he has pretty much faught all strikers (Kalib Starnes who knows what we would call him). But I think Quarry will hurt Maia early on but eventually will get taken down and submitted.

Maia also has a good chin. Wandy said it himself, so it must be TRUE!!

Quarry has a good TD defense so if he can catch Maia early he has a good chance of winning. If it goes into the later rounds then Maia would be favored, once he gets Quarry down it will be over.
