I would actually like Houston if he were to actually evolve as a fighter.

He knew he was going to fight a guy with a decent ground game and still did nothing to improve his sub defense and wrestling. Just Pathetic.

The casual fan who just wants to see a brawl/excitement whether he wins or not. Even though its wrong some people would rather see him throw bombs for half a round then watch a Lyoto snorefest

Houston was so out matched on the ground it was funny. Like people have said you have to be well rounded to some extent to thrive in the UFC. Wild hitting when the bell sounds will not get you many wins in the UFC. Just imagine if you were Keith Jardine right now...after seeing his last 3 fights.

Yeah really, at least Sakara can say that Houston is a LHW and he's a MW now, but Jardine? I bet he cries himself to sleep at night.

Houston Alexander is the Lou Bega of the UFC. They even matched him up with a grappler with horrible stand-up and he still couldn't beat the guy.

I have never seen a fighter look as helpless on the ground as houston does. To say he looks like a fish out of water when on the ground would be an understatement. His TD defense did look improved, I'll give him credit for that, but his achilles' heel has now been exposed to such an extent that I cannot see him succeeding in the UFC at this time.

Yeah thats what I was thinking as well...and Houston is no spring chicken either so the end is very near for Houston.

I like HA, at least in his opening 3 minutes.
He fights and you just think he could end it with any punch due to his powerful punches but yeah, if he hasn't won in the first 3 minutes his chances plummet.

He relies too much on throwing bombs hoping he'll land one quick, and less on skill.
