Cung Le would make a great addition to the UFC WW division, the guy is to small to be a legit threat to a top tir MW, guys like Hendo, Franklin or Silva would eat him alive, sure you an say he beat Shamrock but Frank really helped him out with that one by fighting Le's fight.

Realistically I dont think there was anything to it but more that Strikeforce talent isnt outside the realm of discussion for Goldy and Rogan due to Dana having no ill will towards Coker and Strikeforce.

He's got a huge arsenal in the striking department. Wicked kicks! Just ask Frank...

He was healing up an injury and then actually was in a couple of movies and wanted to take a break. Last I heard he will defend his title early next year.

Until his contract is finished I would doubt seeing him in the UFC as Strikeforce would not just let him go. I'd love to see him in the UFC but if it happens if won't be for awhile.
He also spoke about the LW strikeforce champ Josh Thomson being an awesome fighter and Hayato Sakurai during the Guida/Danzig fight last night.

I remember about a month ago that Cung metioned in an interview that the UFC hasapproached him with an offer (the same interview where he claims Anderson Silva cant beat asian guys cos they arent scared of him) Could be true!

he really said anderson cant be asians because they arent scared of him? Seriously? Anderson needs to make an example of overhyped cung le, make him eat his words and look stupid. He didnt look that good against frank shamrock and cung le has zero ground game.

The Cung Le-Frank Shamrock fight was a GREAT fight, if any of you haven't seen, track down a copy now and watch it. I hope we see a rematch, this time with Frank taking Cung to the ground if he can that is. Cung has a wrestling background so don't disregard his ground skills or takedown defense.

It sounds like Cung was making a small joke about the Asian factor and then he turns it into that most ufc fighters have been scared of Silva and back up and that he wouldn't do that. At no time does he disrespect Silva. The question comes in around the :44 mark:

Cung Le would be awesome. Just give him a few more fights first before he joins the UFC.

Here's the Cung Le vs. Shamrock fight. And yes.. Shamrock got his arm shattered.

Even Dana has said he likes Cung and wants him in the UFC, so I think there has been negotiations and that Cung at least hasn't been completely impossible to reason with. But I guess he'll have to finish his current contract first, and if there's still three fights left, he probably won't get to the UFC before the end of next year at the earliest.

He's definitely an entertaining fighter, but I doubt he would even last in the UFC. He really hasn't been fully tested if he could fight big league fighters. Although I hope he would prove me wrong.
