Lutter a letdown?Joke?

I think its almonst a bit rediculous how people claim he is a joke. Ok he lost his first two ufc fights, but he's been fed to the wolves in fighting two of the most dominant middlewights of all time. Also it may be worth noting he probs gave silva the biggest test so far. I say we should wait till he fights someone a bit lower down the ladder.

Well? Lutter has huge potential.

The fact is he's gassed horribly in both fights and failed to make weight for his title shot. Yea the dude is a huge let down, tons of potential with a shit work ethic. Hes the guy with talent that shows up the the gym with pizza and beer in hand and puts out 50%.

A joke? So far its a bad one, but will he change? I hope so.

I'd really like to see him fight someone lower down the ladder before calling him a letdown. The dude put up a good fight against the former and current UFC middleweight champions, probably giving Silva the toughest challenge and nearly finishing Franklin with that armbar. If he can get his work ethic and cardio in order, he'd easily be considered a top 5 fighter.

IMO any professional fighter that doesn't have his cardio in top notch is a joke.

I say this because this is their career.

It's like an actor that doesn't learn his lines.

It's unacceptable IMO.

This guy has a ton of potential or had a ton of potential....he def has talant but at the same time his dedication may come into question. The fact is he did gas terribly in his last two fights and i know he had a ton of personal issues going on in his life......

Either way i think we have prob seen the most of Travis Lutter that we are going to see but at the same time i would be willing to jump back on the wagon.....

I already said what I felt about Lutter in the other letdown thread.

Suffice to say- dude needs to put down the jelly donuts, actually train hard for his fights and come in at top shape. He makes Karo look like a hard worker by comparison.

I'd actually give him the benefit of the doubt, after proving it in a few fights, if he started training hard and coming into fights with top cardio. He'll have to do it for awhile and in smaller orgs. but so far he hasn't fought since the Ace fight. So who knows.
