Cote's game plan

What do you think his game plan will be going into this fight?

I know that 99% of this forum (myself included) think this will be an easy win for Silva but I am curious as to what people are thinking that Cote's plan might be.

I think he will try and out wrestle him, take him down, and LNP for a boring decision. Of course if he does get him down, he will probably be submitted in the process.

Push the pace from the moment the bell rings, simply disallow Silva from becoming comfortable on his feet.

Seriously, watch every single one of Silva's fights and you'll notice that in the first minute he's very flat-footed and allows his opponents to throw things at him so he can figure out distance and what they have to offer. Once that first minute passes, he puts some spring into his step and he just lets shit fly. I expect Cote's camp to have noticed this, and they'll try to exploit it anyway they can.

Personally, I think Cote will get caught at one point or another, but if he were to have a gameplan.. I'd imagine it would consist of striking to takedowns, then holding Anderson down and avoiding submissions throughout the entire fight. Easier said than done though.

There's a difference between pushing the pace and running at someone like a windmill without protecting your chin.

This makes sense, get Silva on his back in the first 15-20 seconds...but definitely not an easy thing to do.
