Evan Tanners Final Blogs For SpikeTV

It's Tuesday night. Tomorrow I go out into the desert. It has taken over a month to get all the gear together. The preparation for this adventure took far longer than I had expected. I've never done this before, so I took my time reading books, studying the land, and researching gear. A few weeks of solitude in the deep desert, and then back to civilization, and back to training.

Good find.
Have the investigators given any more details on his death? Was it an accident or a suicide? At first there was some thought that he may have planned to take his own life. :(

It was an accident, he died trying to make it back to civilization, but there are some that think suicide...but who are you going to believe? me? or war machine? :thumb02:

the only thing that doesn't sit right with me is he ran out of gas on his bike 60 miles from civilisation. Now with all his supposed "planning" don't you think keeping an eye on your gas/bringing enough gas is pretty high up on the list. maybe im just angry at the tragic situation but it really pisses me off it's so sad.

Yea its strange that with all the planning he ran out of gas with so long left, but I did heard that he had just got the bike and that it had broken down on him sereval times, so maybe the gas reader thing was wrong? Who knows for sure now man? It's just a terrible, sad, accident in my eyes, he will be missed.

I read that he actually wasn't out of gas.

The funny part is this guy is a fairly new unestablished member of a random messageboard and yet he still is more credible than WarMachine.

Well most motorcycles (especially dirt bikes like what it looks like he was using in his blogs) don't have any form of a gas gauge, you usually just rely on your trip meter and go by throttle feel. He also said he just re-jetted his carb, if he did it wrong he could have gotten really poor gas mileage and not even known it (unlikely though because he seems pretty mechanically savvy to me). Like he said, he was going so far into it that any failure of his equipment was going to cost him his life, unfortunately it looks like it did.
