Tanner/Okami didn't make a lot of sense to me, a guy that hadn't fought in what three years? fighting a guy looking for a title shot? I also wanted to point out to anyone bringing up Cote/Silva, that match was made b/c Okami is injured and Cote seemed like the next logical choice. Gonzaga/Couture and Lesnar/Couture both seem suspect. I know its not UFC but anyone else thought Rothwell/Arlovski was strange?

Kelly vs Davis really isn't a bad match-up. Kelly basically dominated Paul Taylor, an experienced, solid, fighter, and Davis is coming off a loss.
Eddie Sanchez vs Mirko Cro Cop.
Terrell vs Lindland.
Severn vs Rizzo was just cruel. Didn't help that John Piretti (Sp?) outright trashed Dan Severn before the fight even started.

I totally agree with this. If unrealsitic matches were never made then we would never have upsets, and there have been a fair few upsets in the past few years.
Currently almost any MW against Anderson Silva is an unrealistic match up but he is the MW champ so he needs to fight.

Not exactly, Forrest could grapple and had better striking, not to mention is the bigger guy. I picked Shogun, but I damn sure thought that Forrest could win.
But, I take it you mean the number 1 LHW fighting a guy who was just a solid LHW, so I'll say yes for that reason.

all these people saying chuck/rashad was unrealistic, forrest/shogun was unrealistic....these people just needed to get off the nuts off some fighters and look at fights rationally....i picked rashad to win...unfortunately i didn't have the stones to take forrest, but shogun was madly overrated at that stage....as was chuck

Chuck may have been highly overated and I always felt Rashad was underrated but the fact is Chuck built that hype by beating guys just like Rashad, he knocked them out thats how he made his name and nobody saw Rashd KTFO of Lidell happening before it did.

Still a bad match up.. but I believe Houston was a last minute replacement.. I could be wrong though

I guess "all these people" refers to me since I mentioned Chuck/Rashad mainly I was refering to how most people, myself included, thought this was a perfect match-up for Chuck to win and get his title shot. Much like Jardine, as they did name the card "Knockout", I thought Chuck would destroy the Hinky-jinky that is Jardine. Maybe "unrealistic" isn't the right word perhaps what some people thought of as "mismatches" but obviously I along with others were completely wrong.
I do love the "get off the nuts" part- you swing on your favorite fighters' nuts and I'll swing on mind alright Tarzan?
