I was just wondering what everyone thought about Diego and when or if he would get a title shot? Do you think he deserves one next?

I think Diego will be the champ one day but his personality makes some people want to see him get his ass kicked so there will be plenty "Diego sux" in this thread.
I think he is definately going to get a shot. I think Diego would take Hughes or would put up a good fight with GSP. The person I see being the biggest threat to Diego in that weight class is Jon Fitch.
Is it still rumored Sanchez v. Riggs at 66? I can't see how this could be an exciting matchup. Maybe Parisyan v. Riggs...

Yep, one day he will be but as of now, he is not on par with the top 3 in his division, hughes, GSP and BJ. I see him and BJ having a match sometime in 2007, I hope they do , would be a great match to see. Then again everyone wants to see Hughes vs Penn 3. /shrugs

With the way he destroyed Karo, he looks ready to fight anyone. I would like to see Diego fight Hughes, either way he must be next in line for title shot after Georges.

I think Hughes vs. Diego would be an interesting match! Diego would hold his own and he has proven that he can take on the top contenders! Def championship material!

Earlier when I said Diego's only threat is Jon Fitch I only left Penn out coz I am assuming he is going to be out for a while (year?) rehabing his ribs. When BJ gets healthy that would be great. I would have that one dead even if not a little for Penn, depends on how his rehab goes.

Diego / Riggs is slated for the next UFN....Its common knowledge that he will get a title shot soon, but Hughes is way too strong and seasoned for Diego, so it will be a short night for Mr. Sanchez. PS Diego Sucks

im pretty sure bjs next fight will be against diego sometime early next year should prove an interesting matchup but i think bj by ko in late first early 2nd

Bj would own sanchez this fight is a huge mismatch bj is greater at every element of the game. Sanchez cant beat him standin or on the ground this is gona be a wake up call for sanchez cos bj is gonna make him look like a nobody i dont understand how some of u even think sanchez has a chance he is overrated and bj will expose him for the Nobody that he is bj would beat sanched with a broken rib. And the flue this mathup wil be very entertaing cant wait to see sanchez get dominated
