Alexander Houston - already beat him
Tim Boetsch
Stephan Bonner
Rashad Evans
Shogun
Wanderlei
Rampage
Matt Hammil
Rich Franklin
Machida
Forrest Griffin
Tito Ortiz - Maybe
Thiago Silva
Sokudjou
Brendan Vera
These are all guys id put infront of keith and thats just the UFC list, except for tito. I also think Keith would beat Houston in a rematch though.
Alexander Houston - already beat him - So what? That to this day remains Houston's biggest win. Tim Boetsch - No, lol. Stephan Bonner - No.
Rashad Evans
Shogun
Wanderlei
Rampage Matt Hammil - No. Rich Franklin - I love Rich, but no.
Machida
Forrest Griffin Tito Ortiz - Maybe - No. Thiago Silva - No, who has he beaten at 205 to put him ahead of Jardine?
Sokudjou Brendan Vera - No, who has he beaten at 205 to put him ahead of Jardine?

I agree with Fedor>All on that one.
I reckon Rich v Jardine would be a fukn crazy fight. I also think that people are underrating Jardine after his loss to Wandi, (so are the bookies, and taking advantage of that one ) but i reckon Jardine is fukn great fighter, just needs to escape the first minute against Vera and get into his game and he'll win
I think Jardine is tailor made for Vera. Jardines stand up is fairly slow and predictable and lacks power in the hands.
Vera didn't look good in his last fight but I'm confident he will bring it against Jardine. Vera wins the fight either standing or on the ground.

We can't really factor in wins over wins. I mean, look at it like this: Houston Alexander beat Keith Jardine, but Keith Jardine beat Chuck Liddell and Forrest Griffin.. does that mean Houston Alexander should be ranked higher than Griffin and Chuck? In my opinion, no.. it just doesn't work like that.
While I may be inclined to agree with you, Rich hasn't done anything super important at LHW, yet. It shouldn't matter if he's a better technical fighter or not, it's what's achieved that counts in the rankings.
lol Boetscheck? Is that like Josh Koscheck and Tim Boetsch fused together?
But seriously, Tim Boetsch can't be ranked higher than Jardine because he has no wins that are comparable to Jardine's wins over Liddell and Griffin. Tim Boetsch hasn't beaten anyone of importance, really.
I'm a bit on the fence with Tito, because he does have that win over Forrest, and has faced nothing but top competition at LHW---which probably explains his lack of recent success.
My list dosent exactly mean who i would rank above who but who i think would beat Keith. Sorry i just dont see anything good in the guy. His a C+ fighter at best.
Jardine is an excellent tactician, although I feel as though he's over-matched here. Vera has far more tools on the feet, superior Muay Thai and a competent ground game that compliments his striking. Jardine obviously has a style of which could very well aggravate Vera for 15 minutes, which is a great possibility given the notion that Vera hasn't looked impressive since melting Mir two years ago. In the same context, Jardine has looked great against non-aggressive fighters that have been reluctant to push the pace. Vera has never been one to bull-rush his opposition or anything of the kind, but he has the definite skill set to give Jardine problems.
I favor Vera solely because being a tactician and a gamer can only get you so far without having the potent base or thwarting skill in any other facet. But Jardine definitely has the ability to come in prepared to negate Vera's advantages.
It's a matter of Jardine wilting under pressure against aggressive strikers that are going to push the pace. Houston brought the fight to Jardine immediately once the fight began, and while I feel a rematch would go quite differently, he proved against Wand that he has absolutely no answer after the initial rush.
Jardine is absolutely Top 10 material, even though he doesn't have an abundance of skill in any area, he's an excellent tactician and that much should be acknowledged. As for his comments, I can't say I agree with any of them but he isn't the first nor the last to come out with statements like that.
Alexander Houston - No he is 0-3 in his last 3 Jardine is his only decent win.
Tim Boetsch-No, has beat nobody of any importance
Stephan Bonner-To inactive no big wins
Rashad Evans
Shogun
Wanderlei
Rampage
Matt Hammil- No Big Wins
Rich Franklin- Not established enough at LHW
Machida
Forrest Griffin
Tito Ortiz - Nothing of any importance in years.
Thiago Silva
Sokudjou
Brendan Vera-NO! barely beat Reese Andy in his only LHW fight,
.
Jardine's style/skillset/whatever has a critical flaw......just like Liddell.
Liddell can not be the aggressor.
Jardine can not handle aggression.
His opponents are going to try over-whelm him is the first round. Lets see if Vera doesn't come out like a man possessed to start the fight. Will it work? Who knows? Vera and Jardine are both hit or miss...but great stand-up fighters. Should be interesting.
I agree with you 100%... jardine isnt aggressive and cant handle aggression and chuck can beat aggressive fighter but when they play his game he doesn't know what to do. Jardine is a hell of a nice guy and he belongs in the UFC but his win over Lidell was impressive and earned but hes still not the same caliber fighter as Lidell Wandi shogun rampage or even Forrest. even if he has beat Lidell and Forrest i dont think it would happen again. Jardine has some ways to go till hes Champ material.
Jardine's technique is under developed, his main advantage is others don't take him seriously or bother dealing with his style - but aggressive fighters just blast through it anyway... Still I like him
I keith is a great fighter probably one of the best. I think he has the ability to someday be a champ but he has one huge problem and that is that he gets way too excited.
I originally thought he was going to win but when saw him step in the cage I said to my 2 friends I was watching "He is going to lose""he will get koed in the first round". When I saw him jumping around and screaming like he was I knew he was just going to run in full force and go for the early ko and trade blows with silva.
He talks about how he is a better fighter than silva and i believe he is and has top notch striking but all his skills don't mean a thing if he isn't going to use them and just rush in like he did with Silva and with alexander. If he fights the way he fought chuck where he stays back and feels out his opponent and breaks them down with kicks I think he would do great but he cant let his emotions get the best of him.
Isn't having a good head and being able to control your emotions part of what makes a champion fighter?
Personally I don't care for Jardine, I think he is WAY to cocky; before his Wanderlei fight he was saying "after I beat Silva I want my spot in MMA history." Not to discount Liddell and Griffin but what else has Jardine really done? If he wasn't in Jackson's camp he would be a sorry silly monkey fighter, and I know fighters have to be confident but they can also be humble, respectful, and appreciative of their trainers and those who help them come up with game plans. I would like to see him fight Anderson Silva so we can see how skilled he really is!
Hmmm I could be wrong but I remember Jardine sounding very grateful to get a chance to fight two of the greatest in the sports history. I thought what he said was more along the lines of "imagine if I beat Chuck then Wanderlei, that would solidify a spot for me in MMA history".
He said the same thing about the Houston Alexander fight, that its a fight he believes he'd win 9 times out of 10.... I personally don't like Jardine and i think someone needs to remind him that its not best outta 10 its who wins THAT night.
very true.. life doesn't give you ten chances. you got one shot and you know it, so if you blew it, how can you say 9/10 you'd win? it wasn't like it was a lucky punch or anything either.
i did use to like jardine, but after getting beat up by houston and wandy in devastating fashion, i gotta hop off that wagon.
