Thats why I said WHO ELSE COULD HE FIGHT

I couldnt really think of a better challenge to start him off on PPV's in the UFC. I think hes capable of walking over Griffen, but to give him someone better wouldnt be very fair either.

SO assuming he walks over his next opponent (Once again a jobber of a fight)
Who else then?

If Forest isnt much of a test then who?

Is 2 fights (as I suggested) really working your way up though? Especially if he's fighting against guys he should beat with relative ease? Maybe 1 fight will be enough but he should at least win a fight before jumping right into a fight with Griffin.

Again, just let him prove that he can beat a jobber more or less and then fine, have him fight Griffin. But I think we should have all learned from Herman that no fight is a jobber fight.

Also, I do think there's plenty of talent in the LHW division. They aren't on the level of Liddell (and right now, who really is?) but there is still a lot of talent in the division. More than the other divisions anyway.

The WW division is by far the deepest the UFC has and that is really because Pride doesn't have one. Every other division is week. The LHW is like the Big East right now. Liddell is like West Virginia and Tito is like Louisville. Then there are a bunch of other teams coming up but not quite ready for the talent of those two.

Nice college football analogy.

The Welterweight is a solid division but Hughes (much like Liddell) has beat pretty much everyone in the division. If he gets past GSP at UFC 65, then the division flattens out much like the LHW division. Now if GSP wins, we of course get Hughes vs. GSP 3 which allows the division to build for a few more months.

You are forgetting about the legit contenders coming out of TUF 4.

If you dont think BJ Penn needs to be included here I am not sure what you are thinking. BJ Penn is defanitly better than Matt Heughes exept for one thing and that is desire. After getting beat by Matt, I hope that lights a spark under his ass. BJ at times has out classed every fighter in the devision. The only reason that BJ lost to Matt was his rib injury. Until Matt beats him in a rubber match I think that BJ has to be considered.

BJ vs GSP is still a fight I want to see happen again.

Dont forget Sherk either, he could challenge at 170 as well after he gets board at 155.

I didn't forget about Penn and I would love to see Penn vs. Hughes 3. But Hughes just beat Penn so yeah, I just kind of tossed him out of the picture for now. Plus GSP beat him as well but as you said, I would love to see Penn vs. GSP again.

Sherk could easily challenge at 170 and be a contender but he's the current Lightweight Champion so until he runs through the division (which seems possible at this point), he's considered a lightweight by me.

I hope Guillard fights him and does exactly what he is doing to the left of this post when the fight ends. As unlikely as that is.

Bisping vs Griffen is the thread isnt it lol

I know its just a thought up matchup, but I think we're off track a bit.

If Bisping wins his next fight (YEP HE WILL) Who should he fight next?

I thought Griffen would be a perfect match for BOTH of them, any other suggestions?

And by the way I think if they DID fight...

Bisping 2nd round KO-- Super Tiger Flying Knee to that Cauliflower ear and THE PARTIES OOOOOOOOVER lol
