hmmmmm

Who MIGHT have a shot at Fedor?

Ok well CroCop obviously, Wandy too. Maybe Josh Barnett or Monson?

From UFC I'd Say Arlovski could do something, if he was at the top of his game and caught Fedor a few good ones. You never know?

But the people hes been fighting havent exaclty been TOP caliber.

I mean COME ON look at who they throw at him recently. Coleman?
Jeez theres 6 more fighters I can name that would walk all over Coleman,
just seems their trying to keep that title around his waist. Not that the UFC doesnt seem to play the same game...

No I didnt see Vitors last fight. How did it go?

Anyway I dont think Size matters THAT much, it didnt back then, so why should it now>?
Size didnt matter back then because no one was well rounded and the little guy won because his style was better. Now everyone pretty well rounded and size would play a huge role.

Never saw Vitors last fight

I wish I had seen it. How did it go???

And yes I think the Tourny proves LOTS, a HELL of a lot more than these 1 on 1 fights which are based on selling tickets and who draws more crowds and attention rather than moving up the ranks.

If I see one more TUF fighter in a UFC ppv Im gonna scream!!!

Meanwhile we got Bisping no where to be seen, whos only ONE of several good fighters who are only seen here and there. Lets find out whos the BEST
if it has to be in each division then I guess theres still more than 1 champ (Which I dont agree with, again I refer to the David Vs Goliath PPV)

I agree with you somewhat but theres no way to prove that the smaller guys in that tourny had more skill than the bigger ones. If everyone is so well rounded then everything is pretty much on the level right? I dont know man its not just that one ppv that Im referring to either. Look at all the previous ones and the early ufcs where there were no weight classes. Dan Severn was HUGE compared to a lot of those guys and he didnt win every tourny, neither did Kimo. And those guys werent UNSKILLED either.

It takes a lot more than Size to win, Im a big believer in that. (Even though Im 6"3 lol) Everyone has a face, and a brain, and when you get smashed good, you go down. Dont matter if your 7 feet tall or 500 pounds!

How does 1 on 1 match ups not prove anything? What if one guy has an easier road to the finals than the other and wins because his opponent was fatigued. 1 on 1 is more fair. You have 2 fighters going at it at 100%

Ya thats true. But they dont have to do it all in one night like they did way back when. (I never agreed with what happened to poor Royce after the first few fights and had nothing left for the finals)

Lets say... The heavyweight division. Every PPV they have a special fight called "The Quest for the belt" (Dont laugh Im just making my point lol)

then over the course of a year they've probably gone through all the eliminations, and can have a special ppv with the remaining matches for the REAL HW champ?

Whatcha think?

Needs work I know but its an idea/?

I say do the same thing Pride does, just take the same idea. Many of the North American fans won't know it was taken from Pride anyway, and I think they would love it.

I think a once a year, voluntary tournament for cash would be awesome.

people would def. bite on that if there was no effect on their current standings...like if you had to fight penn/gsp/ matt hughes/silva in the same day that would be exausting. people like gsp who push the pace would make it sooo hard (even if you won) to be any good afterwards.

size does matter...thats why they have weight class's

theirs a big diff between gracie beating two 300pd fat bodybuilders in one night then the current mma guys there are today
