Almeida out, Miller to fill in

Miller was signed to the UFC recently after a stint in the International Fight League that saw him crowned the last-ever middleweight champion for the now defunct promotion.

Ironically enough his opponent, Matt Horwich, was the first ever IFL middleweight champion, but lost the belt during his first title defense a few months later.

Miller made an impressive debut in the Octagon by submitting veteran fighter Rob Kimmons by rear naked choke in the first round of their match-up at the UFC Fight Night event in mid-September.

Meanwhile, Horwich will be making his UFC debut after a long career that has spanned numerous events all over the world.

The Team Quest fighter had a solid run while fighting with the IFL posting a 7-4 record while competing in both the middleweight and light heavyweight divisions.

Miller and Horwich will be a part of the undercard fights as the main event of the evening will pit widely regarded pound-for-pound and 185-pound king Anderson Silva against Patrick Cote for the UFC middleweight title.

This sucks I was hoping that they would possibly show this fight, anyways I got Miller.

Damn, sucks to see Big Dog get injured, but oh well. Miller should sub Horwich, who is actually a solid fighter, but has had his fair share of poor performances. bbjd7 probably crapped his pants with joy after reading that Miller is fighting Matt Horwich.

I just hope that Horwich enters to "Our God is an Awesome God."

If it was anyone but Almedia getting hurt I would've crapped my pants when I heard this. But I love the Almedia and I hate to see him get pulled out.

However This means that 3 straight cards will have a Miller brother on them and that is sick.

Jersey is starting to make an impact in the UFC.

Miller should submit Horwich in the first his submissions are really good and are often fun to watch I mean between the nastiest guillotine ever, a knee bar and a RNC where he jumped on his opponents back while they where standing. Miller is fun to watch.

I was all stoked when I thought it was Mayhem.

Oh well, should be a good fight. I like how UFC went after these IFL alums.
