Thiago Alves interview

http://mmarated.com/videos/v/2008100...view-6105.html

He says in the interview that 185 isn't in his future and he talks some other stuff like GSP/Penn 2.

thiago has got alot of heat after the Hughes fight for not making weight....i'm confident that after he makes weight, finishes diego, fans will regain their love for Thiago

every fight he's had has been exciting...especially his bouts against Hironaka, Alessio....and lets not forget one of the best fights of 07, Chris Lytle.

He was getting whooped by Lytle until they stopped it due to the cut. I still wish Lytle wouldn't have got the cut stoppage and beat Thiago. Still don't care for him that much.

i'm sorry but i'm going to have to stop you right there. that is complete and utter bullshit. i've rewatched this fight many many times, as it's one of my favourites in ufc history.

the first round was VERY close...as Lytle was hit by that right hand that caused the cut, and dropped on another occasion. not to mention the leg kicks...lytle pushed forward w/ wild punches and kicks, but nothing flush was landed whatsoever.close round to call, probably lytle. no biggie, alves is renowned as a slow starter.

second round was all thiago. massive kicks that has lytle limping badly. sure, lytle pushes forward w/ his flurries, but aside from a swollen eye, thiago is no worse for the wonder. this round was much more decisive, all thiago.

and this is just as bad. manhandling him?? why are people throwing around words like dominate, manhandled, mauling....it's getting stupid

the first round was very uneventful, thiago, trying to find his range and karo muscling him down, doing no damage on the ground. thiago gets up and karo trips him at the end.

Why would he go to 185 when he can continue to game the system? He would get destroyed at 185 anyhow, maybe he belongs in the 185 division at EXC or something.

This would have been impressive a few years ago.

Koo interview.

Arwani: We can put to rest having any talk of fighting out of middle weight. You're official a welter weight and you're comfortable at 170?

Alves: Oh yeah I'm comfortable. 185 I don't know man...you know who the champion is...lolz! It's kinda dangerous!

Nice light interview. No attitude or anything. Hope he wins by super knockout.
