UFC In Talks With Alistair Overeem?
i didnt see this posted...so i thought i share it.

After fighting to a no contest with Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic at DREAM 6 last month, and facing a possible rematch with Filipovic on New Year's Eve, it appears as if Alistair Overeem has his sights set elsewhere and that he's looking to possibly make a move here in the United States.
There is word from Overeem and his management that he is possibly looking to make a move to the Ultimate Fighting Championship in 2009. Overeem is currently the Strikeforce Heavyweight Champion and is expecting to fight again for the promotion sometime soon.
When asked about the possibility of moving from Strikeforce to the UFC, Overeem responded;
“Of course. My management is working on some deals in the U.S right now. I would like to add that I have been treated very well by Strikeforce. There is nothing confirmed as of now about my next fight for Strikeforce, but there should soon be more information on this.”
It is unknown what Overeem's current contract situation is with Strikeforce and if he would be require to fulfill any contractual obligations to the promotion before making a potential debut in the UFC's Octagon.

Alistair would instantly be a top guy in the UFC heavyweight division. I'd really like seeing him match against some of their top guys.

Yeah Overeem in the UFC would be awesome. His skills have really blossomed recently with his move to HW and he still has plenty of youth left.

This would be a great addition to the HW division. I would love to see him vs Gonzaga or Mir or even Lesnar..

Overeem vs Lesnar, I'm sure Overeem would rape him, but size wise it is a good match up.

Overeem would be a top 5 HW in the UFC as soon as he signed.
Werdum and Nogueira would both beat him easily. But he would be a interesting fight for both Gonzaga and Couture. And probably beat everyone else besides possibly Brock and Cain.

because he was in WWE, DUH!
They dont like the fact that a former WWE wrestler, no matter what his credentials are, can come to the UFC and beat the crap out of heath herring, an established fighter, and get a shot at randy couture the champ(with lesnar being the heavy favorite).

I've been wishing for this day for sooooooo long! Alistair, although I don't think he can beat Big Nog, I think he'll mix up the division pretty well. I think he can beat Couture even.
His move the HW was the right move for him, he seems more natural there. Now he needs to learn some high kicks from Remy Bonjasky, I'm not 100% sure if they train together, but I'm sure they're close to each other. If he trained with Remy to improve him kickboxing/thai moves, with his solid ground game, he could maybe be champion.

One person said that Lesnar would get trashed by Overeem. And honestly considering Overeem would be the best fighter Brock has ever faced that's not a crazy thing to say.
Alistair is a top 10 HW and has a better submission game and stand up then Herring.
