Question Could a prime 205 Couture have beaten Machida?

When Couture was beating the snot out of Liddell and Ortiz he looked phenomenal. His wrestling, striking, conditioning and raw power was unequaled.

I saw Couture's recent documentary, which showed that he was distracted by personal issues when he fought Liddell a second and third time. It would make sense, as he did not look as hungry or focused as he was in their first fight.

So I ask, as I think the idea is pretty interesting, could Couture have been the guy to beat Machida?

Maybe, he is the master of game plans.

But who can catch Machida?

If is so illusive, if he wants to stay away from the clinch etc, he will.

What game plan anyone can anyone to bring to beat Machida? Maybe it would involve cornering him, getting the clinch or getting him to the ground.

Machida is my favorite UFC fighter right now. The only way I see someone beating him is if they can get him down to the ground and stay in a dominant position. That is easier said then done.

Randy would destroy Machida.

At that span he beat two of the best LHWs in the world.

Machida has a long way to go to be known as one of the best.

This.
Machida could not (T)KO Randy and I doubt he could sub him. Randy by (T)KO or UD easily.
