My vote goes to Royce Gracie. There are still people who says he would have submitted most current UFC fighters with ease. Come on, the guy submitted fighters who didn't know there was such a thing as ground game, but still deliberately took him down with their boxing gloves and shoes on. He's got exactly one submission win since the early UFCs, and his wrestling and standup is a joke.
Gotta agree with this. The Hughes loss killed some of the mystique, but much or it remains.
So many people still think he could be dropped into UFC at 170 or 185 and dominate when in fact his return would be as big an embarrassment as Abbott's was.
