I don't think he would be that great maybe scrape the top 10, but i have never rated Babalu that highly anyways.

I don't know about that. Okami does well because he's usually stronger than all of his opponents. Babalu's a really solid wrestler and could get Yushin down. It'd be a close fight, but I think Babalu would get the win.

Babalu would be a top 5 MW. His wrestling is good, as is his BJJ. Chuck Liddell was a total nightmare match-up for him, and Liddell ain't cutting to 185. I'd like to see Babalu return to the UFC.

Now if he was to return to the UFC how do you think he would do at 185 because honestly I think he might be one of the top 5 MW's in the world.

The guy is a very good wrestler, and world class grappler and his stand up is solid.

W/o Chuck Liddell around Babalu should do fine against almost anyone.

I mean Babalu vs Anderson is even interesting because Babalu could probably get him down and on the ground Babalu has the advantage.
Babalu made me cry after his embarassing loss Jason Lambert. My god, Sobral would definitely be a contender again if he did not run towards his opponents asking to be knocked out.

Or at least get a better chin if you are planning to do that.

Yushin has excellent submission defense so I really don't think Babalu's Jiu Jitsu will be too much of a factor. I think Yushin would take Babalu down with his strength + wrestling and dominate from top position. Yushin Okami has a really good top game so I think he would win via Ground n' Pound.

Babalu is honestly IMO just a better fighter then Okami.

He is the much better fighter on the ground. I mean I think he would control Okami of his back.

But then honestly Babalu has good wrestling. He did a damn good job against Whitehead who is a top notch wrestler and 240 at LHW.

Babalu on the feet with Okami would be close but he could just take it down and win.

I don't see any MW's besides Silva beating Babalu.

I mean Marquardt I think would be outmatched by Babalu on the ground.

Henderson isn't constant enough at 185. Babalu could probably take him down and out grapple him.

Filho wouldn't get Babalu down and Babalu would out strike him.

Franklin could be his only problem and honestly Babalu would have the advantage on the ground the stand up would be the question.

Babalu would do great at MW. No doubt a top 5 fighter. I think he poses matchup problems for Silva and that would be an interesting fight for sure. I think he has good enough wrestling to get Franklin to the mat and work him over a little bit. Him and Marquardt would be a real nice fight. Henderson would probably give him the most problems but still would be a very competitive fight. For those of you guys saying anyone else in the UFC would beat him are crazy and havent seen any Babalu fights other than his two with Liddell.

But I dont see the UFC letting him back.

Babalu's better days are far behind him. I don't see him beating the UFC's top MW's.

that's a whole lot of bold statements without seeing how he performs at weight.

Well considering how he looked weighing 201 in his last fight I think him dropping 15 lbs won't be too bad.

Man I would love to see Babalu at 185. Lots of good match ups down there and I agree with one of the other posters that Okami could probably beat him with his top control, but I could see it going either way. Franklin would be a tough match up for him but still some real good fights for him down there. I think he will beat Lindland too. It is stupid that he got kicked out of the UFC and only a few months before that choke BJ did the same thing to Pulver, hopefully he wil be back.
