Lack of Big Names in UFC 91

Is it just me or outside the main event does the card for UFC 91 look a bit bare.
Now I don't for one minute mean they will not be great events. I know it doesn't take an accomplished star to make a great fight.
However outside florian v Stevenson there is not really anyone that would sell many tickets on their own.
Gonzaga...past it.
Will there be more fights announced?

Thoughts please

With an main event that is as high profile as Couture vs Lesnar, the UFC really doesn't need anymore big names to market.

They actually seem to do this pretty intelligently because Couture and Lesnar are really the only big names, but the rest of the main card does have top fighters on it, and they will all most likely deliver exciting fights building up for the main event.

-Gabriel Gonzaga (#7 Heavyweight in the World)* vs. Josh Hendricks
-Joe Stevenson (#10 Lightweight in the World)* vs. Kenny Florian
-Demian Maia vs. Nathan Quarry
-Amir Sadollah vs. Nick Catone

Looking forward to this one.

No there won't be more fights announced.

The card is fine, it's solid.

Randy Couture vs. Brock Lesnar
Joe Stevenson vs. Kenny Florian
Demian Maia vs. Nate Quarry
Amir Sadollah vs. Nick Catone
Gabriel Gonzaga vs. Josh Hendricks

This is the televised card, like you said the main event and co main event are fine.. But outside that, they don't need any other big names. Anyway I'd say Gonzaga and Amir are fairly well known to the casual fan. Amir from TUF and Gonzaga because his of his KTFOing of Mirko. He always gets a good cheer.

Fedor fights I want to see..

Fedor vs. Josh Barnett
Fedor vs. Randy Couture
Fedor vs. Tim Sylvia - DEMOLISHED
Fedor vs. Andrei Arlovski - DEMOLISHED

hmmmmm, i wonder how many become reality..

Joe Stevenson vs. Kenny Florian

I'm more eagerly awaiting this fight than the main event.

With a headliner like Couture Vs Lesnar you could line up 4 sets of street bums fighting each other and still have one of the highest ppv's of all time... But that's business.

As far as it goes for the fans i can't say i'm a massive fan of any of the others apart from Gonzaga and Quarry, but still looks like a reasonable card.

Okay point taken.

Just thought maybe with Lesnar on the bill they might draw in a curious fanbase. So now would be the time to stack it with big names.

Still can't argue with all the points raised.

I think it is a grreat card. Lesnar and Couture would sell by themselves so the UFC can save other big names for other events. Besides when KenFlo beats Joe Daddy he will finally get his shot at Penn (and unfortunately get killed most likely) so thats exciting. Plus I wanna see if Amir can beat anyone other than CB.
