Tim Sylvia (260 ) vs. Brandon Vera (225 )
- that is quoted form the old Yahoo sports article, just google their names and weigh ins, I wasn't sure if forum rules allow me to paste that link.

And that was a 225.5 with pudginess and some spare tire action, no veins, and no definition. I'll write it again: Fighter's pre-fight weight loss is becoming more and more exaggerated. Soon everyone will weigh 280 before weight cutting. I can sse it now Goldie: "these athletes lose an astonishingamount of weight- don't they Joe- and aren't they discredited as well?" Rogan: "Thanks for feedin me that line GOldie- Yes they lose a lot and some say BJ Penn doesn't have a work ethic. But he cuts from 280 and his weekend hobby as a sumo wrestler to 155 just in time and just in 2 days for his matches here..."

How could you tell? Vera smashed him before he even did much of anything.

In Vera's defense, the Andy fight was his first fight at 205. It can take time to adjust. Look at Rich, he looked pretty okay against Rivera, but he definitely didn't look as good as he did in his MW fights afterwards. Swick had problems with the Work Man Burkman in their fight.
