White: Vera is not the same fighter

I think there was a reason why he didn't let his hands go in the Sylvia fight, the other two were just bad performances.

IMHO he played a justifiably cautious game against Andy. A loss coulda meant a ticket to another promotion, and Reese Andy is no joke. Too much brawling and he might have been taken down which could have cost him the fight.

I don't think Vera has ever been a good fighter. He's talented but I've never been overly impressed. Frank Mir, and Assuerio Silva aren't great fighters.

Now his loss to Werdum was overshadowed by the questionable stoppage but Werdum was clearly better then him he took him down pretty easily and then mounted him.

At LHW I think he looked horrible against Reese but to be fair Reese is a solid fighter.

Vera IMO though will beat Jardine because Jardine seems to be overconfident coming into this fight.

losing an exciting fight will get you farther than winning a cautious/boring fight in the UFC.

I"m excited to see him fight at LHW again.... he cut 30lbs in a month for the last fight not hard to imagine why he gassed so early.... Also i think he did play it safe becuase he didn't want to lose his debut at LHW.... kinda like swick at WW

He cut 30 pounds huh? Did he ever weigh over 230 at HW? Funny that he'd weigh MORE while cutting to 205 than he did while fighting at HW....

What a stud

Although that's not always true to begin with, a loss to Andy wouldn't have been exciting anyway. takedown followed by LnP with maybe a GnP finish... but probably a decision.

Definitely didn't need Dana to tell me Vera isn't the same as he was at LHW.
