There has been a lot of chatter on the boards lately that the UFC has planned to put all of their titles on the line at UFC 100... a true "Night of Champions" type of fight card.

Not true said White recently in England. He said that he has, "No ideas for UFC100," but it's not going to be a case of all five of the current weight classes putting titles on the line. That would just be too long of a night.

All UFC title bouts are five rounds of five minutes each. If you were to factor in that all five bouts could possibly go the distance that alone takes up most of the time alloted to a pay-per-view event, leaving little or no time for introductions, pre-fight hype, or instances where a fight may have to be put on hold for a doctor's check or other unforseen circumstances.

In short... it ain't gonna happen.

I think it was obvious that this wasn't going to happen.

While I think the UFC has enough good fighters to still have good PPV around a card with all the champs, I agree that its not a good idea. Plus I am sure that with training injuries and such that would never happen.

What I do hope to see on UFC 100 is Nogueira vs Couture

That would be a great main event. 2 titles would be likely but no way did all of them ever look likely.

He did, we were just discussing what would be a realistic but good card.

ah ok....i'd say 2 title fights plus two superfights would suffice.....basically ufc 92 + one more superfight

Really? Well Randy/Nog is likely much earlier than 100 and frankly Machida/Forrest is a fight I dread, that has the makings of one of the worst fights to ever main event a card and it would definatly be the most boring fight of Forrests career.

While I realize "night of champions" isn't doable, UFC 100 does require a card that is by far better than any card from any organization (including Pride) before. Indeed atleast 2 title fights, but on top of that whole main card has to be full of awesome fights (super fights & interesting rematches basically) that would sell as main event fights on their own.

They can also have all champs fighting on the card, just have them in non title matches either in super fights against each other, or someone else outside their divisions. GSP vs. Franklin, Silva vs. Liddel or even GSP vs. Silva would be 3 good examples.

Its not really hard to make a best card ever with the fighters ufc has now, Pride kept having new "best card ever" card after card with even less fighters, then again they didn't have american athletic commissions messing up their plans so it was easier. :P

Agreed. I know Forrest would take it, but its not a fight I even want to see because it would be pretty boring stand up "war" with hit and run tactic by machida vs. Forrest abusing his reach with jabs and leg kicks.
