Anyone else sick of this?

Getting the whole "The best p4p fighter in the world bar none" crap that Spike is stuffing down our throat and making us swallow it? Yes, he is in the top 3 and that's basically a FACT, but to say he is" unarguably the best p4p in the world" like it was gospel or something. I will gladly admit that I think Fedor is the best fighter the MMA world has ever seen, but you won't see me making commercials about it.

My point is, I think Silva is definitely another species of fighter and he is easily one of my favorite fighters, but this is getting too out of hand.

as of right now he is clearly the p4p best....he's defeated more top fighters, DESTROYED them, and hasn't lost himself in a long time

i personally have no doubt in my mind he is the best...he's ahead of both fedor and gsp...penn shouldn't be top 3 at all

What top level fighters has he fought outside of his weight class? Here's a hint: it's lower than one. Silva is already a giant at the weight he fights at. Silva isn't even the best p4p fighter in the UFC, let alone in the world.

1. Fedor
2. GSP
3. Anderson

There are a few MWs I'd still like to see him fight before I could even declare him top of his division. He certainly is when it comes to the UFC, for now, but what of men like Cung Le? Little Nog? Matt Lindland? Those are what I consider to be top names, and Silva needs to cross them off his list before he can truly reign over the MW division, let alone the fight world.

what big names has cung le beat?

lil nog is a LHW

matt lindland isn't that good of a fighter...especially now that his career is on the decline it seems

Silva can destroy all the opponents he wants, but Fedor is still P4P, the best, until he loses.

Who do you think the top P4P fighter is?

Don't say Fedor because by your definition he can't be because he's only fought HW's and fighting a MW doesn't count for much.

I can give you Cung Le. Still, it's a fight I'd like to see, because he did seem impressive in his fight against Frank Shamrock. That said, you could argue that Shamrock is over the hill, and thus posed no real threat to begin with. Little Nog has fought at MW, quite a few times, and I have no doubt that he could pose a threat to Silva at said weight. Although, I wonder if the two would fight... aren't the Nog Bros. and Silva close? As for Lindland, I'll wait to form an opinion on whether or not he's on the way out after his next fight, and not merely his previous one. You're welcome to your own opinion, but all of the above men are fighters I'd like to see Silva tangle with before I truly declare him top dog, as is my right to do.
