Leben completely reminded me of Evan Tanner
Did anyone else notice this?
The whole fight, I couldn't stop saying how Leben looked so similar to Evan Tanner. The Braids, the facial structures, the increased bulk... I just thought it was crazy.

A little dirty considering Evan is dead, but you are still absolutely right.

in some ways yes, not the looks but the way they fought which sometimes wasn't to smart, like eating jabs and still coming forward, and they both do have big hearts

Except that Tanner was a pretty cool dude, and Leben is kind of a douche. But yeah, I kept thinking "Is Leben trying to look like Tanner?"

I agree, thought the same thing. Not sure if it was the cornrows, the beat up face or the similar body but there was a real resemblance.

I was also reminded of Evan looking at Chris last night. Also I have never seen Chris looking more ripped than he did last night. I find myself really becoming a fan of Chris's even though I know he has a long way to go. I think that if Chris really starts to focus on his ground game, GnP, and subs, it will benefit him greatly in the future.

In a very old interview I remember Chris saying he considered Evan a personal friend and role model when asked if he would ever fight him. So that may have been a tribute of sorts, or it may have just been what he felt like doing that night, who knows?
