This is pretty much a No Contest. Jardine is a lightweight compared to Noguiera
Nog is definitely the toughest HW.

Jardine is tough as hell. That knee was ugly! I've gotten injuries like that before...

Except I couldn't walk afterward.

I never realized how manly Keith Jardine was before this thread. I thank you.

But as far as THE toughest, it has to go to the Nogueira bros. with Keith coming in behind.

your welcome

the guy gets no love for alot of reasons...he's never fought in Pride so he's instantly not good....he doesn't throw straight punches.....he doesn't fight out of Xtreme Couture......oh and Chuck wasn't the same fighter than night

the fact that he can get hurt and still come back in win shows me he has a champion heart...he can face adversity and prevail

How did Jardine win a clear cut UD against Chuck?

It was a close fight, I had Chuck winning and if I remember correctly it was a split decision?

Also he was losing the Forrest fight against the old Forrest who would ingage in brawls for the sake of it, if they were to face now there's no doubt Forrest would take it.

Jardine is just awkward, he's a good gatekeeper imo, but not champion material.

He is tough though!

Jardine has always seemed tough to me, so I agree with the OP.
Another person I think was really tough was Ken Shamrock. yeah not a great fighter by todays standards but look how much of a beating he took in his first fight with Tito. He was getting destroyed and kept fighting.

the fact that its a split decision doesn't mean much frankly...both joe rogan and couture admitted before they announced who won saying "i don't know how he couldn't have won that fight"....tanner/grove was a SD...did u think tanner won? i'm sorry but if you thought chuck beat jardine you have little experience watching mma and how it's scored, cuz jardine beat chuck clearly

actually, regarding forrest, as i must have pointed out over one hundred times on this forum, he was fighting smart and tactically...forrest wasn't brawlin AT ALL....the whole fight they mention how he was picking jardine apart (which was bs btw) w/ crisp strikes and that he was a totally new fighter...than BAM...KO..."oh he wasn't the same guy back then" shit has to stop

Forrest griffin won by KO with a broken forarm. That officially makes him the toughest fighter unless someone can name something tougher...

vs. Wilson Gouvaia - Jardine comes into the fight injured, and loses the first round badly....taking a beating via leg kicks.....yet in rounds 2 and 3 he battles back and wins a UD basically via shear toughness

vs. Forrest Griffin

- faced with adversity as Griffin isn't brawling but fighting a smart technical fight....he eats a few shots, but Jardine figures him out and waddes in with punches to finish the current LHW champ

vs. Chuck

- even the first round was close, Chuck landed some great right hands on the money....bloodied and battered, Jardine battled back in round 2 and 3 to win a clear cut UD

vs. Vera - the fact that he still won after this.....

says it all...many fighter would have crumpled but Jardine continued to battle on and eeek out a split decision

This thread's for you Keith, the toughest and scariest looking man in the UFC

The second pic with Chuck is HILARIOUS! repped

PS: Do you have the other foto from the Chuck fight when bloodied Keith has the most MENACING look on his face?
