Keith Jardine - The Toughest Fighter in the UFC

I don't think there can be any doubt. Sure he's gotten mauled by Houston and Wanderlei...he isn't technically sound, or particularly good at any aspect of mma, but he's just plain TOUGH.....lets look at some things he's done:

vs. Wilson Gouvaia - Jardine comes into the fight injured, and loses the first round badly....taking a beating via leg kicks.....yet in rounds 2 and 3 he battles back and wins a UD basically via shear toughness

vs. Forrest Griffin

- faced with adversity as Griffin isn't brawling but fighting a smart technical fight....he eats a few shots, but Jardine figures him out and waddes in with punches to finish the current LHW champ

vs. Chuck

- even the first round was close, Chuck landed some great right hands on the money....bloodied and battered, Jardine battled back in round 2 and 3 to win a clear cut UD

vs. Vera - the fact that he still won after this.....

says it all...many fighter would have crumpled but Jardine continued to battle on and eeek out a split decision

This thread's for you Keith, the toughest and scariest looking man in the UFC

I dont know about toughest but Jardine is a great fighter he must learn how to avoid damage better though because his jaw is suspect.

Truth.

Jardine is a tough Mo Fo, and I've never thought of him like that before because of his losses. You are correct, he is tough.

Rodrigo Nogueira is actually miles tougher than any other fight though in my opinion.

Loads of fighters comeback from nasty rounds/shots, most do. You have to remember for Jardine that those times he has comeback, he also DIDN'T comeback against Houston or Wand.

Fedor fights I want to see..

Fedor vs. Josh Barnett
Fedor vs. Randy Couture
Fedor vs. Tim Sylvia - DEMOLISHED
Fedor vs. Andrei Arlovski - DEMOLISHED

hmmmmm, i wonder how many become reality..

I think KJ will have won a lot of fans with last nights performance - particularly the post fight interview.

look at the man's last 5 fights....

forrest (current LHW champ), Chuck (former LHW champ), Wanderlei (former Pride Champ), Houston (meh), Vera (former top HW contender)

that's pretty insane
