I think that they both look like they just watched a great fight and were suprised that GSP was able to beat BJ the way he did.
Matt left no question on who he wanted to fight. He said many times that he wanted to avenge the loss to Penn.

I love bj i really do this guy is a natural talent but he lost to st piarre fair and square and to be fair we all no that bj was dominating matt as he did in there first bout however it was his choice to carry on the fight and he lost at the hands of matt huges because of that choice so i dont belive it is fair to say that matt would have lost had he not been ingured i really dont think you guys are giving matt any credit here im not a matt fan but he went out there in great shape and left the octagon the victor now we can discuss weather or not bj would have won till we break our keyboards but it makes no difference matt beat bj thats all there is to it maybe bj would have won maybe not yes matt was losing but we all know matt will be just as powerfull in the 5th round as he is in the 1st at the end of the day matt is a elite fighter and can never be counted out. But nor can bj he may have continued his dominance for the last 3 rounds But he didnt all we can do is speculate lets just drop the subject and wait till matt vs bj 3 but like bj sead matt fought like a champion and desurved the win so even though he is a stuck up farmboy lets give him some credit

The injury had something to do with it I'm sure but that's not to say that Hughes wasn't going to win that fight be either decision or stoppage in the 3rd round or later.
Penn is a very good fighter but conditioning is not his strong point. If he can't put the guy away early, you have to give the advantage to the other fighter. As for not having the drive, I think he showed that when he won the belt the first time and then just walked away from the company.
You still have to believe that Penn and Hughes will fight again in a rubber match.

Since BJ broke his ribs (yes, its been confirmed so stop this BJ is making it up sh@t) we will never know if conditioning would have played a part in this fight! That's something we'll have to see in Hughes vs. Penn 3!

We're not just talking about his last fight, and to be honest if you want to look at his track record, we're lucky he made it that long in the fight.
He just won't train hard enough. It actually makes me sad. I love this sport and I love those that love this sport. If he would just take it seriously he could be one of the best that we've ever seen.

Good luck on your new career in the thriving fast food industry BJ. No I don't want fries with that, too many saturated fats.

Before you make a thread knocking someone you should learn a little about what you are saying, he didn't gas. He injured his ribs....
I would LOVE to see you come into round 3 with that same injury.
