Actually he lost to GSP by decision. Split decision at that.
So don't go giving GSP too much credit.

Some of you guys have no clue what you are talking about. BJ is not known for gassing! He gassed in the GSP fight and that's it! He gassed in ONE fight in his career!!!!!! He has won decisions before. I personally think he won the GSP fight, and I too have it on DVR and watched it several times. GSP only took him down 1 time the entire fight and did NO damage afterwards. Penn got right back up! Penn dominated the standup even though he was tired, and even though he gassed, GSP still couldn't do anything to him. If it was 5 rounds GSP might have won, but in the 3 rounds there is no way GSP was the better of the 2.
And the threadstarter should prolly do a little research before making a ridiculous statement like that. You guys act like a couple losses for a 27 year old is the end of the world. He gassed ONE time in the GSP fight, lost a decision to a f-ing LHW!, lost a controversial decision to Jens Pulver (which by the way was 5 rounds for the guy who said he's never seen Penn go 5 rounds), and injured himself and got beat down by Hughes. There are TONS of people who think he won both the GSP fight AND the Pulver fight. I personally think he lost the Pulver fight, but I can see why people think he won, it was very close. However, I do not see how anyone can think GSP won, I like GSP, but he just didn't do anything to deserve the win except not gas. Even though Penn gassed, I still think he was the better fighter and should have won.

Hopefully his two recent losses to two of the best will get him inspired to come out and train hard. He will probably have to face Diego when he returns, so we will see where he is at when that happens.

Sanchez and penn should be a good fight, wud love to see it. I wonder if penn would try to keep the fight on his feet.

Penn is really slippery. Much more so than Alessio. I think Sanchez would be overmatched.

....And Penn looked bored/gassed/unmotivated in the 2nd & 3rd round. GSP won, but that's because he actually kept busy in the 2nd & 3rd. Penn just looked like he'd rather be elsewhere.
I give GSP credit though.

I stand by my statement that the thread starter is an idiot.
BJ is not known for gassing. And to claim that he gassed against Hughes is obsurd. He broke his ****ing rib and still had the nut to come out and fight. I didn't argue with you for the fact that your statment was retarded and I had work to do.
We'll see what happens when he comes back though. Who knows?

bj pENN IS FAT AND LAZY.
Quote:
1. BJ's never lost a fight in the first or second round in his MMA career (6-0).
2. He's 4-4-1 in his career when his fights go longer than two rounds. He's only finished one opponent after the second round, the other three wins were decisions.
3. He's 1-3 in this past four fights overall, all of which have gone three rounds.
Granted, this is far from a perfect means of analysis, since it doesn't take his opponents' styles into account, among other things, but there's enough there to see a pattern.

^This from MMA news. All I had to do was google 'BJ Penn cardio' to see a million people who agree with me and none to support your statements. Except for a couple other guys like you who probably spent a few summers on a remote sheep ranch in Montana with him.
I WISH I COULD QUIT YOU BJ!
