BJ Penn, what a waste of talent.

Man, the guy has all the skillz in the world, yet he is too lazy to train. Not even for a title bout. Gassed out after one round vs Hughes. In fact I think every time he's lost it was because his conditioning failed him. He says too much training burns him out. I think he doesn't have the drive to be a champion.

Good luck on your new career in the thriving fast food industry BJ. No I don't want fries with that, too many saturated fats.

This is from ufc directly. See he didn't gas and would've won that fight.

But according to a medical report by Dr. Sameer Nagda, Penn did fracture the right tenth costochondral junction and did strain the adjacent intercostal musculature and oblique musculature during the Hughes bout, putting to rest speculation that ‘The Prodigy’ simply ran out of gas between rounds two and three. One of those who did question Penn’s conditioning was Hughes, who avenged his 2004 loss to the Hawaiian via a third round TKO. It’s something that doesn’t sit well with Penn

What about his fight with GSP. He dominated the first round and definitely wasn't injured. He gassed and that's that. He may have been injured in the Hughes fight but I still think he has horrible conditioning.

Yea, because you know exactly what would happened in the fight moldy??? I think hughes said it best, when he said something to the effect of " I know he won the first 2 rounds, but that meant I had 3 left ". Considering Hughes is known to have one of the best cardio in the UFC, and gone 5 rounds before(I can't think of BJ going 5 rounds, but I could be wrong). Bj is also known to not have the best cardio. I am kind of sick of people saying "Bj would have won if he didn't get hurt", and "GSP would of won if he didn't tap ", fact is they lost, plain and simple, and no one knows what would of happened.

I will say, as a Matt hughes fan (yes I admit that), that it was not looking good for Matt at all, and Penn was demonstrating how awesome his skills are, but I think if matt could of held on for round 3, that he would of taken over in 4, and possible won in the 5th, but that is all up to speculation. If Hughes fights Penn again, I would bet on Penn if he was 100% fit, but if he is not, which usually is the case, my money is on Hughes. I am really suprised Hughes has lasted this long considering that training is not his life, whereas alot of fighters don't do anything but train.

He does not like to train, he admitted this. His conditioning has always sucked. I root for that dude every time he fights. He either blows my mind with a killer submission or gasses out.

I'm a Penn fan, and as a fan I am dissapointed that he lacks the drive to train more for his fights. He could have taken Hughes if he had better cardio.

I am not a Hughes fan, props to the guy, a dominate force in his division. He needs to show more respect and quit with the lame ass attempts at psychological warfare.

His conditioning looked fine against Hughes.

It was against GSP where he was fat and burned his energy off in the first.
