Not to mention it will hurt his cardio which is always a strength of world class wrestlers and could be a factor if he fights one of them. If I was Werdum I would stay around 235,240 and just do alot of weight training to help to deal with the stronger guys in the division. As it is, he is already a bad matchup for any of those guys so why change anything? Didnt he see what happened to Ricco?
You mention all of those guys but you didn't mention Nogueira.

Werdum getting bigger and stronger will give him a huge advantage over Nogueira. He will be able to get Nog down a lot easier and will have a strength advantage on the ground.

Ricco became a drunk slob and stopped taking care of his body. Werdum is training full time at a gym known for conditioning.

Plus this is the perfect chance for him to try something new because Junior isn't a great opponent.

I dont think the added weight will really help him with Nogueira. The thing that is gonna help him is his improved striking. I think the weight gain is just gonna slow him down. But who knows, we'll see.

That's suprising. He seemed very mobile and sleek against Gonzaga and Vera. Hope this guy takes it cuz he's under rated. The way he passed guard against Vera was like JJ mastery.
