Fabricio Werdum up to 260!!!!!

http://sherdog.com/news/articles/out...tle-shot-14846

Interesting article he seems pissed about the match up but the fact he's up to 260 if he can keep his speed this will be very important.

At 260 he will really be able to overpower people on the ground.

Werdum think he deserves a shot way more then Lesnar and Mir.

He also takes a shot a little shot at Mir's gas tank.

Good interview.

260, that's big, I didn't even know he was 249 to start with. Let's hope it's not 11 pounds of extra fat we're talking about.

I don't know anything about this Junior guy, but if he is from Black House, chances are that he's pretty tough.

Sorry I can't watch the vid at work. Is he moving to 260 for a particular fight? Or is this something that he's hoping to stay at permanently?

He better not get himself Lutterfied, Im pretty concerned hearing he is up to 260 since I think he looked a heathy fighting weight for his style of fighting, he isnt a big guy donky konging guys and shouldnt try to be, he is so much more talented.

Yea hopefully he's not getting fat although I doubt considering the conditioning they do at Chute Boxe that he would be.

With that size he will have an advantage over everyone except for Carwin and Lesnar.

But can the human body put on that much muscle mass that fast? I mean the UFC lists him as 231 thats 30 (29 close enough) pounds in what really isnt that much time.

I agree with pretty much everything he said in the article though I'm not terribly upset with the Nog-Mir match-up as he was a past champion. But I hate that Fabricio got screwed out of the HW tourney.

Plus I hate the Santos fight as I call these types of fights "treading water fights"- you win all you gain is remaining in place- you lose you fall waaaay down for losing to an unknown. I believe Werdum will win but I don't like this fight and I am wondering time-wise if he will fight again before getting his promised title shot.

At 260- the size should help him provided he maintains his speed and his stand-up keeps improving has he's shown in his latest fights.

What a slap in his face that Mir got a title shot before him. I'd feel like a bag of sh-- if that happened to me. Wins over Vera and Gonzaga >>> Lesnar and Hardonk. Oh well, really not a fan of Werdum anyways.

He's really going to have to play the waiting game for the next little bit, hopefully for his next fight he gets a bigger step up in competition. Let him face the loser of Lesnar/Couture.

The average person can put on about 1/2 a pound of lean muscle mass per week, but the type of training a professional MMA fighter can gain is likely to be more depending on their body composition/metabolism.

i don't understand this move...he's a pretty slow HW already...this will make him even slower...

I guess theirs a tradeoff b/w speed and strength....but jeez, i thought he was carrying enough fat already.....
