Refs do this all the time unfortunately.

Houston did it to Schafer early in that fight.

Happened many other times aswell, for some reason refs seem afraid to jump in after something like that.

Fedor fights I want to see..

Fedor vs. Josh Barnett
Fedor vs. Randy Couture
Fedor vs. Tim Sylvia - DEMOLISHED
Fedor vs. Andrei Arlovski - DEMOLISHED

hmmmmm, i wonder how many become reality..

I saw the fight last night and noticed Jess was actually squatting while David was kneeing his head, he then set his left knee down for a split second. It seemed David landed another knee for that split second Jess had one of his knees on the ground, or it could have been too quick for the ref to notice.

It was a great fight though.

Watch Akihiro Gono vs. Dan Hardy to see what illegal knees to the head look like.

It doesn't happen that often.. sometimes it's hard to see for a ref too. He might have to time-out and watch the videoreplay so he can think about taking away a point or something.

On topic: I didn't see it, care to show us?

Saw It, really wondered what the ref was thinking. I mean for Bielkheden himself, he might have been more cautious but he was in the midst of a fight and probably didn't see the hand on the mat. A warning would have made him way more careful so it probably wouldn't happen again.
