"Michael Bisping wants a shot at Anderson Silva"

“I think there are a lot of good fights at middleweight for [Anderson Silva] – me being one of them. Anderson is the pound for pound best in the world – an unbelievable fighter. He improves with every fight, shows a different game every time and is a class act. It’d be great for him to leave on a high and think you do have to set out a point when you are going to call it quits…. But that said, I want to get a pop at the guy before he retires….. I don’t want to beat somebody by default to get the belt — I want to beat the best guy out there….. He’s calling it quits too soon. There are a lot of good middleweights out there that he hasn’t fought yet.”

Personally I think it would be a decent match, and Bisping might get a chance after another win or two, but I doubt he would win.

No really I hope this thread doesn't get any nobs like that commenting. It'd definatly be an interesting match to see, but until we see Anderson Silva lose again it's tough to go against him.

he has being saying that for a while now and another win would put him up there he should be next in line after Okami mainly due to the fact Silva has beaten everyone else.

Good point,I think right now either of those two would give Bisping a problem, but I'd like to see both fights.

Give me one middleweight who doesnt want a shot at Silva for the title?
Granted they may all lose, but its every fighters ambition to be the world champion

And Bisping certainly isnt ready yet

No, but he certainly has the ego to think that he deserves it. And despite having to go through Fanklin/Hendo to get to Silva, right now I think that Bisping is about the only person at 185 who has a chance of beating him. (Not discounting Cote)

I cant see him finishing Silva, and i think over 5 rounds Silva would get the better of the fight. But who knows.

I think Marquardt would have a decent chance if they got a rematch, i half thought he'd do it the first time round

I think if Rich Franklin learned how to swim out of a Thai clinch he'd take it.
