People picking Cote to upset Silva are seriously just trying to be the guys that can go after the fight and say ha I told you so. Really the only person I can think of right now that truly believes Cote can win this is Toxic on this site. I originally thought his only shot is too dirty box and press him up against the cage, but if he does this he is going to get clinched so damn hard it will be brutal. I don't think he has the combinations to put Silva into trouble and Silva is masterful in not getting hit so I don't see that big one punch ko coming to fruition either. Not saying he doesn't have a chance, but the amount of people picking him is getting ridiculous.

I like him better. I don't always pick based on skill, which is stupid but the way I like it. He's talented though.

Just a bit of a hunch. Although Miller has a better record, he has really only beaten two opponents of quality in McGivern and Kimmons. Horwich has more losses but they are mostly to tougher guys than Miller has faced (except for the obvious fact that Horwich lost to McGivern, who Miller beat soundly).

And Horwich has some wins over very tough guys as well in Krzysztof Soszynski, Tiger White, Mike Pyle, Benji Radach, Jason MacDonald, and Josh Burkman. This gives him a big edge in experience.

None of this actually is a convincing argument that Horwich will win, I think that on paper Miller should still be the favorite by at least a bit, but I like Team Quest and I'm a Portlander which makes Horwich my home town guy. I also think his religious zealotry and crazy look is pretty amusing. War Horwich!
