I refuse to watch fights with casual fans because it irks me so much. The ssecond it goes to the ground they think its gay and stop watching. Its not enjoyable for me explaining to them why the gound game is exciting, it just sucks. Thats why I watch it alone!!!

anyone else get annoyed by that? the sport is so beautiful, complicated and intricate...and all you wanna see is a KO..? and this is from a guy who watches TUF, seen every event for the last year or so....

seriously, i could care less about seeing a crazy KO, as long as I see some great skills displayed and some good action, i'm more than satisfied...

your thoughts?
You think that sucks imagine being at the event and having a guy sit behind you say when they show Miguel Torres on the jumbo tron that I think he's a boxer. These were the same morons that were screaming for a standup when Maynard was in side control, and after that fight said, "I don't know who won. Neither of them really did anything. I bet you these guys don't get another PPV fight, whose heard of Marnard anyway. I seriously thought I was going to kill them.

ouch wow thats rough man

thats the thing man, when the UFC goes to a new city, sometimes i wonder if the fans really know what their going to see...i think alot actually expect the fights to be like Forrest/Bonnar 1 and then when they don't see it they boo...

Yeah that ref was really making me angry. Then, Joe made a comment about it and I felt good that I wasn't the only one thinking WTF?

Ya that's the worst... I am much more than a casual fan but I still like to see knock outs. Not that I can't appreciate a good submission but a knock out is always better IMO...unless its a flying arm bar or some thing insane like that.

Favorite Fighters

2.) Nick Diaz
3.) Korean Zombie

Completely agree. I hate that too. But what are you going to do? When I'm watching TUF it always amazes me how many fighters are dumb/retarded/stupid/ignorant. Wish they grew up a bit and act like as if they're being serious about the sport.

But that's what you get with fighting.

It's not a big deal.

Hell for some reason tonight I was hoping for a knock out via head kick. No real reason, I was just in the mood to see one.

What irks me more is drunk ass "fans" that boo fighters after having a serious injury during the fight and are not able to continue.

You're just a cook...

doesnt bother me one bit. Not everyone follows the sport religiously, like some of us, and they only do watch for a knockout. Take the guy I work with for example, we were talking last night, and he didnt exactly know all the names of the guys who are fighting, but he did say that he just loved to watch. Then another guy chimed in with the typical knockout quote. So I think its pretty normal

What irks me is that some people think they own the sport because they followed it before other people.
Newsflash!
MMA is mainstream entertainment. It ain't "cool" anymore. Get over it.
