I can't believe how many people voted yes.
Silva always fights like that when the opponent is not being aggressive.

Silva was messing with him a bit because I think he knows how much better he is then other people. He stood in front of Cote for awhile just doing random hand movements. He didn't seem very serious at all.
And I personally was very impressed by this performance because it was clear their is nothing Cote could do about Anderson and it was just a matter of time.
I'm sure some people disagree but that is what I saw I think he wanted to put on a show.

I was starting to get annoyed at first, but I felt that he going to get serious in the later rounds. So to answer your question, I'm not sure because I think Silva takes fighting very seriously, but something seemed off.

Who Knows?
With Silva you can never tell, but sice he tends to dance and showboat alot, I'd say he was probably toying with him a bit

I think he wanted to go into the deeper rounds, but also cote didn't make any major errors so didn't give Silva the chance to finish, although Silva did catch him with some nice shots and was getting more and more into the fight in rnd 2.

No. I don't even think he was showboating, like a lot of people think he was. That's just Anderson, that's how he fights, switching stances and rolling his hands as a distraction. Silva is primarily a counter fighter as he reacts to opponents rather than being straight out aggressive, and Cote didn't give much to counter.

I think at certain points in the fight, namely the hand up, that Silva was slightly mocking Cote for unwillingness to engage.
Cote didn't leave many opportunities for Silva to go after him. On those he did leave open, Silva took advantage of and showed that Cote has a phenomenal chin... better than Leben's IMHO.

Anderson lures people in and counter punches. There were really 2 exchanges that Anderson pushed but the rest was him trying to bait Cote, Cote knew it and didn't buy it. Anderson wins because the opponents start to get confident and let him setup for the kill, that's why fight went so long, Cote didn't take the bait and he didn't let him get set up. I honestly think Anderson just respected him too much and that's why we saw what we did, when he was waving his hands around he was trying to get him to look at them so he could kick. When he was running he was trying to get Cote to chase so he could setup up a flurry of punches. It was all part of his game, it's how he fights, damn shame how it ended though.

I just think he was having fun and trying not to brawl with Cote because he knew that was Cote's only shot to beat him. He was doing a good job of winning the rounds though and he had moments of brilliance in the fight. Really unfortunate it ended though because I was enjoying watching both guys and I would have really liked to see how that fight would have played out.
