Will there be a sense of urgency for Silva to quick-KO someone in his next fight?

considering his *arguably* disappointing performance before a disappointing ending

There will be from fans.

From him, I don't know.

It depends on who he fights though, I'm guessing his next opponent will be a 205er.
A good one at that, so in that case, probably not.

Fedor fights I want to see..

Fedor vs. Josh Barnett
Fedor vs. Randy Couture
Fedor vs. Tim Sylvia - DEMOLISHED
Fedor vs. Andrei Arlovski - DEMOLISHED

hmmmmm, i wonder how many become reality..

I don't think so. Silva's not the type to take unnecessary risks.

I don't see any reason for that. Having 5 rounds is an opportunity, so anyone given that should fight a smart fight.

if he fights the winner of W.Silva/Jackson or L.Machida/T.Silva he will in no way be expected to flash KO anyone.

Is there any evidence that Silva was playing around and not trying to win against Cote? People make it sound as if it's a trivial task to go and KO someone in the first round. Silva has made it 'look' easy in the past against some opponents but I really don't think it is that easy.

I think Anderson would disagree with all the accusations made against him about how he faught.

I seriously hope not. Simply because Anderson never found the right opportunity to capitalize on and drop Cote, doesn't mean that he was fighting in some way he should be embarrased by.

I think I know what you mean. Are you talking about the stuff he was doing, like throwing flying knees without being afraid to be taken down even though Lutter's ground game isn't something to mess with?

Anderson didn't mind that fight going to the ground. He wanted to sub Lutter as a payback for Lutter subbing Jose Landi-Jons, or so I've heard.

I didn't say Anderson would stop fighting like Anderson though. I just don't think he'll go out and try to get a KO right away just because of the way the fight went with Cote. Know what I mean?

I agree, I don't really think Dana should have made those comments about how he was fighting.. He shouldn't say things like that which could possibly influence the way Silva fights next time, Dana is not a fighter. He should shut up and let the champion fight how he wants. Personally I didn't think it was a boring performance at all. A Head kick, vicious knees, nice punches...
