I was also impressed with Kos' chin, recovering ability and heart. He really does have the heart of a lion, even though you wouldn't expect it when you hear him talk outside the cage.

I was impressed with Thiago as well. I knew from before that he had dynamite in his hands, knees and shins and good takedown defense, but his tdd was even better than i thought. I was surprised that he was able to keep up the pace for the whole fight despite looking like a Belgian Blue. He's really going to be a challenge for GSP.

My only worry is that Alves will test positive (again) sooner or later. He just looks like such a roid freak.

Good call guys. Kos did a great job and earned a lot of respect from the mma fans. The Sherk/Griffin fight was awsome. Kos did a great job against a very skilled Alves on short notice.

New respect from KOS for not getting KTFO by Alves. Alves is just a freaking beast and KOS refused to give up.

Yes I know, I guess I just wrote it awkwardly. Thanks for pointing it out in case somebody would have misinterpreted it.

I never really liked Sherk, but the more I see him fight the more respect I'm forced to give him. I am very impressed with how he keeps on improving with his standup. Kos is kind of the same situation for me, I don't really like him, but after him taking a fight in 2 weeks notice and taking some sick shots and keep going, I gotta respect the dude.

I've never really understood why people don't like Harpo. It's entirely possible that I've missed some public asshole moments so I'm definitely leaving that door open for an explanation. His skill in the ring and his physical ability have been excellent from day one. I'd really like to see a rematch with Alves after Kos has a proper training camp and has time to prepare. I thought the fight was pretty good all things considered and Sherk/Griffin, well I don't know that anyone expected anything different from that fight.
