IMO Chuck's age might be catching up with him a little.. younger athletic guys like Rashad and Rampage seem to be out-timing him. That, and his style is getting predictable .. he's completely given up his kicking game which used to be a huge part of his arsenal, and his one-dimensional stand-up has been analysed and picked apart. I still think if he reinvents himself and evolves, he can become a dominant force in the division again. If not, the Iceman still has an amazing legacy to be proud of and retire.
Absolutely fantastic post and I couldnt agree more plus rep my friend. Chuck has proven himself time and time again but i definitly think he should seek more experience in a new camp to mix things up.

Chuck's the man. And I think Tito was right when he talked about how Chuck had that hamstring operation or whatever. That sh*t's big man. That's a big deal.

Chuck should've smashed Rashad. He'll be back. Don't compare him to Cro Cop just yet.

I've become an even bigger Chuck fan after his losses and everyone bad mouthing him and jumping off his bandwagon.

Whether I like Chuck or not, and I do, I will always respect his heavy hands. And I never get sick of seeing him get that berserker look.

Yea, chuck is the shit.

Fan for life here.

I would let him stick it in for a second. No, I am not gay.

He had fights against the definite title contenders in the UFC at the time, but I think my watching Pride all the while, I saw guys like Rampage, Wandy, Shogun, Hendo, Little Nog, who I just figured would beat Chuck if the fight would only happen. But you're absolutely right, given who the UFC had signed at the time, Chuck definitely highlight reel KO'd them all. No small feat.

I'll agree with that too, but not only are the younger guys a little bit faster to the punch, Chuck has pretty mediocre defense against strikes; The direct result of not keeping his hands up.

Like you said, if he reinvents himself, he COULD potentially be a force again, but I really don't think so. That being said, he could retire with a great legacy.
