Seems to be taking the loss well and him moving to the US IMO is a great thing because it opens up the chance for him to train with a lot more gyms.

Training out of Chute Boxe USA where guys like Bisping and Rampage have spent some time training should be good for him because Chute Boxe in Brazil doesn't have many big names left.

I think Werdum will be back and make an impact it was a horrible situation for him and the worse thing happened.

I don't know I don't think that had much to do with it. I would like to see how he looks on the ground and his speed on the ground because his striking didn't look much different then usual his chin just usually can take a lot of shots.

His body looked nasty, hopefully his gym will have a couple of treadmills.

Dude may be one of the most talented BJJ guy, but he got smoked by a complete unknown. Junior was definitely the better striker, and it'll take a while to see how big of a loss this one.

You were so close to having your prediction come true, my heart weeps for you bbjd lol.

Werdum will be back though, and hopefully he tidies up his stand-up some more. He looked more like the Werdum that fought Arlovski, than the one who whomped Brandon Vera and Gonzaga.

Until he loses some excess fat, he shall be known as Flabricio Werdum (to me anyways) lol.

I hated this fight even when they announced it as Fab-doom was promised a title shot then shoved out of the way for the HW tourney. I've always hated these "treading water" fights against unknowns- the name fighter has practically nothing to gain except staying right where he is with a win. A loss is devastating- give props to Dos Santos but Fab-doom will be back and hopefully when he does he won't get screwed over again.

He needs to lose some weight (although I don't think it was a factor in him losing the fight), work a lot on his stand up, and actually do what he does best which is submit people. I think he was getting ahead of himself there and got a bit overconfident in his striking ability.

Even though I like dos Santos as a Nogueira student I was pretty sad that Werdum lost. He deserved to be fighting for the title in the tourney and got screwed. But I hope he comes back strong and gets his shot and I think he will.

I think it was too soon to tell how well Werdum performed with the extra weight, seeing as Junior punched his head off in, like, a minute.

Glad to see Werdum taking the loss like a pro and trying to better his skills. He'll come back better than ever. He usually does after he loses.

So, so, so sad to see Werdum get finished.

At least it wasn't Big Nog. That would be a sad day in MMA if Big Nog got knocked out.

Werdum will be back. It was a little speed bump but fortunately for him, the heavyweight division isn't that competitive so it shouldn't take too long for him to get back on track.

Any have an interview on why he gained so much. He looked sleek against Gonzaga. He just looked really out of shape for this fight. Werdum is dope though. He'll bounce back.

You could search the forum i don't remember where the article was but he said he wanted to bulk up and be bigger and stronger.

This poor fellow. A few weeks ago I'd say he should be fighting for the title. Now hes KOed by some unknown and out of the picture for a title shot :*(

sigh* i guess its better to see what hes made of before hes a champ, imagine if he would have been brutally KOed with the belt around his waist.

I think some of you guys are downplaying the fact that the extra weight made him slow as shit. I could tell right away how shitty his striking looked. He was lumbering around the Octogon in slow motion with his gut just bouncin around, it was DISGUSTING! Werdum's striking has gotten alot better since his Pride days, but on Saturday it didnt look right. Werdum has gone up against better strikers than Dos Santos. He submitted Aleks, went 3 rounds with AA, and finished Vera. The extra weight clearly affected his reflexes and speed. 258lbs isnt a healthy weight for this guy. Its not like he hit the weights to gain the weight. He literally must have ate Big Macs and Whoppers to gain that weight, dumb dumb move.

I like Werdum. I hope he comes back in his next fght 20lbs lighter and gets back to using his jitz. Im sick of all these fighters getting away from what got them to where their at.

Werdum gained weight and looked bad. It could very well be that we will see a lot more of this with Lesnar cutting to get to 265. Problem is that Brock is a FREAK for that reason. The other HW's can't expect to eat twinkies by the truck load and hope that sheer size will help. Lesnar can do at his 265 what Sherk does at his 155 and that is what allows Lesnar to have a chance in fights when he lacks the technical skills.
