I don't really think he's "the next best thing". He lost to Tyson Griffin. Yeah, he beat Pulver but Pulver's only impressive win was a fluke submission against an out-of-shape BJ Penn. I'm not by any means denying Faber's skill. I think he's an amazing fighter for who he fights. But I honestly do not believe he could hang with the best (if he moved to Light weight). I think Sherk would destroy him. I think Griffin would beat him again. I think Kenny Florian would destroy him, and I also think BJ Penn would have a field day with him.

his domination of Jeff Curran amazed me.
Then beating Pulver made it offical that I wanted him to bulk up a little and go to the UFC's LW division.

Jens was his best win, and he looked good in that fight, but man, Jens looked like a zombie in there.
Faber's good, but way overhyped. I'd like to see him face Fabiano, and I think he'd lose that fight.

What the hell are you talking about? Pulver won a decision against a game BJ Penn, he didn't pull off some fluke sub, whatever that means.
He's also beaten Caol Uno.

My bad. For some reason I thought he subbed BJ. Thanks for the correction. Regardless, I don't think anyone can deny the fact that he hasn't faced his hardest challenges yet. If he does move up, there's SO many people for him to prove himself against before he's "the next best thing". At least in my book, but again I want to say that I do think he's the best fighter at his level, but I think a couple of guys in the UFC would beat him pretty soundly.

I think he's too small to be a huge factor in the LW division. But, he has the potential to be the best in his weight class. I just don't think he's there yet. Sure, Frank Mir might tell you he's the greatest 145'er ever, but he hasn't faced guys like Hatsu Hioki, Wagnney Fabiano, Pequeno (If he racks up some solid wins after losing to Aldo), Aldo, Tamura, Sato and Lion.
I think it'd be more than a couple of guys. Guys like Maynard, Edgar, Guida, Griffin, Clementi, Tavares, Pellegrino, Stevenson, Florian, Sherk and Penn would eat his lunch.

I'd rather work to be a big fish in the big ocean than spend my life as the big fish of the small pond that is the WEC.

I'd rather dominate my weight division and be looked at as unstoppable than to move up and get my ass kicked by bigger dudes.
Plus, this whole "His only challenge at 145 is Kid" shit is stupid. He has plenty of challenges at 145.
